IGPCT elected to represent Ireland at the IUGB

An Irish Grey Partridge conservation Trust member was nominated and subsequently elected to represent Ireland at meeting's of the International Union of Game Biologists. Speaking after the recent IUGB meeting in Barcelona at which the Trust presented our experiences of Captive Breeding a Trust representative said that now the Irish perspective on game biology will finally get the recognition it deserved.

IGPCT invited to publish in ABC Journal

The Trust has been invited to submit an Article for inclusion in the next edition of the " Animal Biodiversity and Conservation" scientific journal. The article will be under the topic "Every partridge counts - successful techniques used in the captive breeding of wild grey partridge in Ireland."


IGPCT to present at IUGB conference in Barcelona

Keiran Buckley from the Trust will address the International Union of Game Biologists (IUGB) conference which is being held this year in Barcelona from the 5-9th September. He will update the conference on advances in the field of captive breeding as used in the Boora project.


Results of Latest UK National Gamebag Census (NGC)

The UK National Gamebag Census (NGC) contains records from 20 mammal species, ranging from game animals to their predators. The NGC results have been combined with other sources of information to provide an overview for each mammal species. The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) is a member of the Tracking Mammals partnership and they have carried out a detailed analysis of the bag data.
